Event Description
We open a brand-new beginner course just once per season.
Not because we believe in artificial scarcity. It’s because the groups that start with us tend to stay — sometimes for years. Places rarely become available, and we only accept as many people as we can genuinely support.
If you don’t join now, your next chance will probably be a year from now.
YOU DON’T NEED ANY EXPERIENCE
- You don’t need a sense of rhythm.
- You don’t need to be flexible.
- You don’t need to bring a partner.
- You don’t need to have taken a single dance class.
- You don’t need to be fit, musical or “talented.”
We can teach anyone. That isn’t an advertising slogan — it’s a statistic. Hundreds of people have joined our beginner courses convinced that they were hopeless at dancing. Not one of them was right.
We’ll also teach you something rarely discussed in dance classes: how to enjoy dancing from your very first evening, rather than waiting until you “finally know what you’re doing.”
HOW WE TEACH
We don’t start by making you memorise steps. We begin with what partner dancing is really built on — listening to yourself, your partner and the music.
You’ll learn all the foundations of Brazilian Zouk, but you’ll learn them through feeling, not counting. Leading is an invitation, following is a response, and the conversation continues throughout the dance.
This is the same method we use at the highest levels and to train instructors. You learn it well from day one instead of having to unlearn bad habits later.
WHAT YOU GET BEYOND THE CLASSES
A clear path forward
Our programme is a structured system of progressive levels. You’ll always know where you are and what comes next.
Practice sessions
Regular sessions where you can practise what you’ve learnt in a safe and supportive environment.
A community
Our groups aren’t random collections of students. We make sure you feel comfortable together — because partner dancing begins with trust.
Many people come to us for Zouk and stay for the community: nights out, workshops and trips to the mountains.
This is the part you can’t buy during a single weekend.
