Event Description
Day to day we teach advanced dancers, run masterclasses and train future instructors. We very rarely teach absolute-beginner courses ourselves. And one is about to start.
Why start here?
Because from the very first class you learn zouk the way we teach it at the highest levels: with our own method. We don't start with memorising steps. We start with what partner dancing really stands on: listening to yourself, your partner and the music.
You'll learn all the fundamentals of Brazilian Zouk, but you'll learn them through feeling, not counting. Our system is built on a dialogue between partners: leading is an invitation, following is an answer, and the conversation goes on through the whole dance. That way you dance with a person, not next to one, from day one.
What you get beyond the classes:
• A clear development path. Our programme is a thought-through system of consecutive levels. You always know where you are and what's ahead of you.
• Practicas. Regular meetups where you practise what you learn on the course in a safe, friendly atmosphere.
• People. Our groups are not a random collection of students. We make sure you feel good with each other, because partner dancing starts with trust. Many people come to us for zouk and stay for the people: nights out, workshops, trips to the mountains.
You don't need experience, a partner or a "talent for dancing". Just show up. We'll take care of the rest together.
